Lavender & brown/white/mint

Feeling inspired by all the gorgeous photos I collected of Elisa Nalin (visit my Pinterest board) for my recent Style crush post, I decided to pair my newly completed handknit sweater (DIY post here) with a few other items in my wardrobe to create some unique colour combinations. Here are the results!

Lavender & brown

Handknitted lavender sweater // Indiska floral scarf
Zara brown trousers // Coccinelle taupe handbag
Celine leopard loafers // Unknown brand sparkly necklace
Unknown brand striped bangle // Armani watch
HM sparkly earrings

In this first outfit, I chose to pair lavender with items in the brown family – deep brown trousers, leopard loafers and a taupe handbag. The floral scarf adds some spice to the outfit!

Lavender & white

Handknitted lavender sweater // HM purple vest
Cubus sparkly necklace // Gina Tricot white jeans
Accessorize taupe clutch // Armani watch
HM sparkly earrings // Hermes H white/silver bangle
Zara silver sandals
This is a casual outfit consisting of the basics of t-shirt, jeans and a sweater, that I’ve sexed up a notch with some sparkly accessories. Everybody who knows me knows my love of purple, so I couldn’t resist pairing my favourite shade with lavender. A general rule for layering is to keep the bottom layer in a darker shade of the same colour as the one above, to appear taller and leaner. Though I’m tall enough as it is, I ‘ll take lean any day of the week…
Lavender & mint
Handknitted lavender sweater // Culture floral top
Zara mint skirt // Botkier fuschia clutch
Gabor fushia shoes // Armani watch
Accessorize sparkly earrings and necklace
Mint being the colour of the summer, I couldn’t resist dressing like a giant ice cream – or a selection of macaroons! This is my favourite of the three outfits, and I plan to wear this out to lunch with a friend next week. The length of the sweater is perfect for this skirt, I love how the floral top pokes out underneath the sweater (and is longer in the back) and the summery combination of colours puts a smile on my face!
