Wide-legged trousers in navy and white

I strongly believe in mixing high and low in order to create an interesting and well-balanced outfit, but today is an exception: All my clothing is from the high street and at Nok 299, my trousers are the most expensive item (disregarding my accessories).

I got really excited when I found these trousers at Lindex – I was keen on buying into the trend for wide-legged trousers, as I think it is so French chic. These are from Lindex’s Holly and Whyte range, from which I always seem to find something desirable.

Since wide trousers add visual weight, ideally they should be worn with something form-fitting on top, in order for you to look taller and leaner. I teamed them with a semi-wide top and cardigan, where the long necklace and vertical line on the top help give the illusion of height, balancing out the weight added by the trousers.

While the trousers sadly are not long enough on me (at 1,83m/six feet) to be worn with heels, they are plenty long for flats. And flats are possibly more French anyway, right?

This is what happened to my quick and unhealthy dinner when I was preoccupied with shooting photos for the blog. Despite the burnt and warped edges, the pizza was yummy!:

And here’s a peek at the package that finally arrived today after having been lost for two weeks. I’ll show you its beautiful content soon – I can’t wait to use it!:
