As a tall woman who is always struggling to find trousers that are long enough, I’m crushing hard on cropped trousers. I love that culottes are in fashion this year and take every opportunity to wear them. It doesn’t hurt that their wide legs make me look just a tad shorter and more the size of everyone else, either, though I have to admit that I don’t think much about my height these days. I’m grateful that I can wear culottes without looking too short, though!
This particular pair of culottes has been a staple in my winter wardrobe for many years. It was a bargain purchase at Selfridges, is made of the softest wool and never seem to wrinkle. I decided on a minimalist look today and paired the trousers with sleek separates, while adding some colour with a burgundy sweater and accessories. The perfect outfit for a day of doing all sorts of bits and bobs!
