Fitted & flared

Tall girl's fashion / Fitted and flared

On my third day at Oslo Fashion Week I wore my favourite trouser shape, the culottes. These wool trousers are particularly cosy and kept me warm on what was a freezing cold winter day in Skøyen.

One of the many advantages of being tall — in addition to always reaching the stuff on the top shelf — is being able to wear wide-legged trousers without them making you look really short. Add a fitted jacket and high heeled footwear, and you ensure that you are your tallest self despite the wide legs.

When I came home in the afternoon and changed to go running, I realised that the hem of the right trouser leg had come down all the way around the leg. I had been walking around with a flappy trouser leg all day… Let’s pretend nobody noticed.
