Leather & flares

IMG_4822

I like to dress for the mood I’m in each day. Yesterday, I was a pretty 1950’s swirly girl and today I feel strong and empowered in leather and flares. Truth be told, it’s also quite possible that I feel the exact opposite of what I’m wearing on any given day, as I sometimes use clothes to bring myself into a certain mood. If I feel particularly blue, the best solution is to wear some bright and flattering pieces that I can’t help smiling at when I look at myself in the mirror. Fuschia and purple always work!

So what did I feel when I wore this dark leather outfit — strong, free as a bird or angry at the world? I felt strong and empowered, ready to take on anything that the world might throw my way. It didn’t hurt that I stayed warm and could run around in my flat shoes, either.

I’d love to know, do you dress according to — or in contradiction to — how you feel?
