1970s Revival
It brings me immense joy when I can drum together an outfit according to a current trend from pieces that I’ve had in my wardrobe for years!
I don’t think I can attribute such good fortune with having exceptional taste — the truth is that I have a huge wardrobe that contains items from just about every trend that has ever graced the pages of Vogue. But why nitpick?
I’m just happy that I’m able to shop my own closet, as I’m a big advocate of buying timeless pieces that I love and can wear for years to come, that can suit multiple trends just by changing up the styling. To get this outfit to match the current 1970s trend, I chose natural colours, a suede jacket and added a brown leather belt at the waist. A smidgen of the ’70s and a lot of my personal taste mixed together!
