Happy Thoughts
{1} Playing with eggs
I’ve learnt to love my eggs while getting into the paleo way of eating and the other day I did a variation on my poached eggs on mushrooms, that simply substituted the feta cheese for avocado. Yummy, really healthy and a great way to kick-start my day!
{2} Shopping event at DAY Birger et Mikkelsen
After my second glass of champagne I thought this shopping event, with everyting in store 25 % off, was a brilliant idea for everyone else to be excited about. I wasn’t going to buy anything! After my third glass, however, I joined the huge line that was snaking through the store with my own purchase — a black lace top that was too pretty to resist. I, too, wanted to walk home with that goodie bag dangling from my hand. And I did. And it was a great event in a store brimming with spring news.
{3} Marianne Grythe at Fineart
One Thursday night, I headed to Fineart and the opening of Norwegian painter Marianne Grythe’s show.
Her cityscapes from New York are breathtaking — they capture the mood and energy of this buzzing city far better than a photograph can. I wish to one day own one of her painting of New York. And possibly San Franscico…
{4} Spring’s sporadic presence
One day it’s sunny and warm(ish), the next it’s wet and just above freezing. While spring has not sprung as much as I’d have liked, the unstable and cold weather surely has me appreciating the warmer days. Sunday was just gorgeous and during my afternoon run I dreamt of summer and trips to the beach!
{5} Shopping breakfast at H&M
Yes, I attended two shopping event this week, naughty as I am, and H&M offered 20 % on everything in store. Admittedly, it does take a certain level of dedicationg to make it to H&M by 8:45 am… Quite a few items from the gorgeous Studio Collection was back in stock — returned by customers — and I very happily walked away with a couple of pieces at a discount. It made my heart (if not my bank account) sing just a little bit.
