Pretty In Pink

Tall girl's fashion // Pretty in pink

On a cold and grey day last week, I decided to fight the depressing weather by wearing the brightest blazer in my closet. It must have worked, as several people told me I looked so happy and chic. It completely made my day, even when I got caught in the rain without an umbrella and had to use my handbag as a rain shield…

On another note, I love these full skirts. Being very conscious of my paunch, this skirt adds so much volume that nobody knows that I’ve even got a tummy in there! It also lets me eat to my heart delight… I just have to make sure that I wear something fitted on top to balance out the width of all the ruffles, but that’s a small price to pay for hiding a tummy.

Join me in a big hurrah for full skirts and bright blazers!

  • I love the pink blazer and stripes! Now I really wish I had a bright colored blazer. (And I’m so glad I just found your blog – I’m only 5’10” but I have a hard time finding pants that are the right length, and I also have short hair. I’ll start copying you, haha! Thank you!)

Hi Elizabeth! I’m so happy that you found my blog, too! PLease feel free to copy everything you’d like — that’s what fashion blogging is all about. And check out H&M for longer trousers (you might have to try on a few pairs to find a pair that’s long enough), and Frame and MiH for long jeans. xoxo Anett

  • I love this outfit! You do look very cheery and I love the pattern mixing with the stripes and leopard print 🙂

Thank you so much, Elise! I love both stripes and leopard and think they look very chic — and very French — together. xoxo Anett
