On a sunny day last week I wore this spring-y outfit around the flat, afraid to eat anything in case I spilled on myself. It’s the same story every time I wear white trousers or skirts — normally they’ll only last for a day before I need to get the stain remover out.
I’m channeling a bit of the 1970s today in this ancient H&M silk top. This is one of those garments that are so pretty that I’m afraid to wear it, lest I wear it out or ruin it. Yes, it’s much the same store as with the whites above. What can I say? I’m a
messy complicated person. This summer I’m determined to put this top to good use, however, as it is too pretty to just be hanging in my wardrobe unworn. Consider yourself warned, as you are probably going to see a lot of it!
PS: Looking at these photographs I realise that my trousers shrunk in the wash and they are now shorter than they were when I first got them. A tall girl’s nightmare come true — you finally find something that fits and then it shrinks in the wash! My plan for this weekend is to bring the hem down 2-3 cm, so they will yet again fit. And perhaps lay off the cupcakes so the waistband won’t be quite so tight…
