New Beauty Favourites

Tall girl's fashion // New beauty favourites

In the last few weeks I’ve got my hands on four new beauty products that I really like. I hereby share my new-found beauty crushes with you:

Lancome Bifacil makeup remover

This is an old favourite of mine that’s always voted the best makeup remover by makeup artists around the world. I had a break from Bifacil after I discovered Bioderma when on holiday in France, but since I’ve run out of Bioderma and it’s not available here in Norway, I went back to Bifacil. Also, Bioderma is not great at removing waterproof mascara, which my watering eyes have forced me to use lately.

PS // For my Norwegian readers, Kicks current has a special offer on a 200 ml bottle Bifacil for only Nok 169,- (reg. 125 ml bottle retails at 275,-).

Reveal by Calvin Klein

When I received this perfume in the goodie bag at the DAY Birger et Mikkelsen event a couple of weeks ago, I didn’t have high hopes. I’m quite picky about my scents and have never worn anything by Calvin Klein. I had nothing to worry about, however — I’ve been wearing this scent almost daily since I got it. Reveal has a fresh and light floral scent, supposedly fitting for a sexy, confident and provocative woman. That’s me, alright!

Repair Balm Extra Dry Skin from Yves Rocher

My mum is a great fan of Yves Rocher — living in the countryside means having limited access to skincare and Yves Rocher is by mail order — and she kindly shares her overstock with me. I simply loved everything about this body butter and this is coming from a devout blue Nivea fan (20+ years)! I love the cream’s richness, how easily it’s absorbed without leaving my skin oily, the subtle almond scent, the fact that it comes in a tub and that it’s paraben free. Sadly, I finished the tub this morning — I wonder if I can persuade mum to order me some more?..

Clinique Pop lip colour + primer  in 01 Nude Pop

As soon as I saw all the ads for this new lipstick I knew I had to try it out, as I’m a sucker for new lip products. If they are moisturising as well, count me in! As promised, the lipstick has a great, moist texture that feels really smooth on your lips. It feels very similar to Chanel Rouge Coco Shine, only better — it feels more hydrating and has a very subtle scent, while the Chanel is heavily perfumed.

Clinique Pop is available in 16 pretty colours and 01 Nude pop is a pinkish nude, a versatile everyday colour that was missing in my lipstick selection.

PS // For my Norwegian readers, Pop is not yet available online, but can be bought in store. I purchased mine at Glasmagasinet.
