Polkadots & Embellishments
Whether you are tall or short, a pencil skirt is your best friend — just choose the length that will make you look your leanest.
I’ve paired my navy and fuschia polkadot skirt with an embellished white top. I was going to a meeting and wanted to look put together and professional, but not too corporate, hence the cardigan in place of a blazer. Since I had a fair bit of walking to do I chose flats, but a medium heel would have elevated this look further (pun intended). Tights in the the same colour as my skirt made my legs seem longer while counteracting the effect of my flat shoes. Also, they cleverly disguised my scaringly pale winter legs…
I might not have to have the palest legs in town for much longer, though — we are promised sunshine towards the end of the week. Looking outside at the pouring rain today, it seems hard to believe that it will ever change, but I remain hopeful. Lise and I have already planned our next photo shoot!
