{1} Altering clothes —

I bet we all have that pile of clothing and linen that is waiting to be mended or altered. Sure, we are going to get to it one day, but what’s the rush? It’s not like we don’t have anything to wear and doing this stuff is tedious. Well, in the last few days I’ve done plenty of tedious and my pile is halved. I can’t wait to show you my vintage dotted dress (on top) later this week. It’s so cute!

{2} 30 day shred —

Yes, I’m still at it and can now do three days in a row of level 3, at the same speed as Jillian & Co, before I need a break. My goal is to last for a full week, but that will take a few weeks. I’m struggling with my arm strength and Jillian’s killer moves are really forcing my muscles to get on board. The strange thing is that I never feel sore the next day, even though I’ve excerted myself completely during the workout. That also means that I have no excuse not to work out again, which is win-win! We all know how easy those excuses come along — I’m too sore/tired/hungry/full or simply can’t be bothered. Well, I’m bothered almost every single day and can’t recommend it enough. All three levels of the 30 day shred are available on Youtube, so go and check them out! Wow, you’d think that she’s paid me to write all this, but I’m just an impressed customer.

Yummy! Need I say more?

{4} Photography —

This week my remote control — which is an advanced one that changes the camera’s settings if I move about — broke down and I had to go old school: Focus on my handbag sitting in the spot where I’d be standing, change to manual focus, set the self timer and run over to pick up the handbag and pose, then run to the camera and press, run over to the same spot and pose, run to the camera, run and pose. Do that 20 times and you have one annoyed model photographer and one old lady inside the window wondering what the heck I’m up to. The weird thing is that most of the photographs turned out well when I did it this way — my eyes were open and my pose OK. Maybe I’ve become too complacent with the remote, as I know I can shoot 50 shots in one minute and some of them will always be useable?

{5} Scented candle —

Yesterday, after cooking fish for dinner, I lit a scented candle that I’ve never burnt before. It smelt so gorgeous — a very discreet and fresh musky scent — and got rid of the fishy smell right away. But do I know where this candle comes from, so I can buy more? No, no recollection and no brand name on the candle. Help!

{6} Visiting the dog rescue centre —

My visit to FOD, the animal rescue centre, is the highlight of my week. Yesterday, I walked Frost, a playful and fun 1,5 year old with legs as long as mine. He used to live in pens outside on the farm, but they had to move him inside as he would climb over the three metres tall fences and get out. That shows some unusually advanced canine climbing skills!

Today, I’ve linked up with the following blogs:

Sincerely Jenna Marie

  • Nice happy thoughts, indeed. Can’t wait to see the dress!

    • I plan to shoot it tomorrow, so it will be up towards the end of the week. Stay tuned! xoxo Anett

      • Will do! The fabric has me curious. By the way, there’s a post up on my blog about jumpsuits, you inspired me. I hope you don’t mind, but I linked back to your jumpsuit post.

        • I definitely don’t mind. The more women in jumpsuits, the better the world. And the longer the bathroom queues! 😉 I’ll run over to your blog and check it out pronto. xoxo Anett
