Living in a country with very unpredictable weather means that you have to be flexible when it comes to the planning of outfits. Take today’s outfit, for instance. Originally, I planned to pair the top and waistcoat with my shredded denim shorts, which I think would have looked really cool. Unfortunately, the weather turned both cold and wet on the day I was wearing it, so shorts were out of the question. Out came my distressed skinnies, which are comfortable to wear, but not my favourite shorts. Oh well, just get over it, Anett!
As usual, I play off the contrasts with this outfit — wide on top with tight jeans (or bare legs) on bottom; pretty blouse with rough jeans; rough waistcoat with sparkly jewellery. And on my feet, comfy shoes that happen to match my waistcoat.
Just a quick tip before I sign off; if you are going on holiday somewhere warm(ish), always bring a pair of Toms. They weigh hardly anything (both in your suitcase and on your feet) and are so nice to slip into after wearing sandals all day. Give your feet a soft and comfortable break totally free of sand between your toes. Bliss! As an added bonus, by purchasing the shoes you’ve contributed to a child in need receiving a free pair of Toms. It’s a win-win!
