Easy Pattern Mixing

Tall Girl's Fashion // Pattern mixing

Since I only arrived in Greece yesterday and don’t intend to spend my entire holiday inside working on my computer, I’ve prepared a post in advance for you today. It’s still summery, so just pretend that I’m standing in the shade of a palm tree nursing an ice cream. To come with me on my travels, follow me on Instagram at @tallgirlsfashion!

A bit of pattern mixing is always fun and I’ve been looking for ways to make this floral skirt look more chic than frumpy. Matching it with breton stripes and red sandals did the trick, though I’m not so sure about the belt bag that I added. It was very practical for running errands, but added yet another horizontal line to my upper body, which isn’t always flattering. Still, the fun in fashion lies in trying new things such as this pattern mixing, so mission accomplished!

  • I am all about stripes and floral lately! And I just recently grabbed up about half a dozen pencil skirts (all on clearance) in different patterns. I cannot wait to start mixing patterned tops with them. I love this outfit you created…now it’s time for me to get styling mine and posting pictures!
