Pretty Grey
Today’s goal is to inspire you to wear shorts to work, if you get your hands on an elegant pair like these from DAY. For me and many other tall girls — OK, women — our legs as our best assets and some of us show them off any chance we get. I was going to say that you’ve just got to get used to me flashing my legs, but then I realised that autumn is just around the corner and my legs are soon going to be tucked away in tights and trousers for the winter. I’ve got to get them out there while I still can!
To contrast with the more masculine style of the shorts, I added a floral-print blouse in greys and greens and did the famous half-tuck to look suitably nonchalant. Feminine and professional, ready for a hard day at the office.
And talking about the office: I’ve been sitting by my computer all day, hard at work, while the rain has been pouring down outside. A glimpse of the sun through the dark clouds is like the universe smiling encouragingly at me, telling me that I’m doing well. Good things come to those who wait — and work hard.
