Every morning we head to the beach to soak up some sun and take a cooling swim. It’s a routine that never gets old. While it was a tad hot wearing black yesterday, the hat kept my head cold. And the top covered most of my massive insect bites…
Last night we went for dinner in the old town of Chania, a pictoresque pedestrian area with old, crumbling buildings, narrow streets lined with cute little restaurants and bars, and colourful wisteria and Hawaii roses climbing every wall. Think of the old cities on the Riviera and in Italy, and you’ve got the picture.
We ate outside in a restaurant that resembles an old ruin — we were sitting upstairs in a bulding with no front wall! The setting was so pretty, the staff incredibly polite and the food delicious. Unfortunately, it was too dark for photographs, but we are heading back in this afternoon to go sightseeing. Expect lots of gorgeous photos on the blog later this week!
Now the beach is calling. See you later!
