Tweedy Sparkles

Tall Girl's Fashion // Building a suit from separates

In my book there can never be too much tweed. I also love a good touch of sparkle. Cue today’s outfit, where I’m matching a metallic tweed skirt with a tweed jacket for a more casual and creative way to build a suit. Add a cool animal print and I’m ready for action!

I don’t really like wearing a high waisted skirt on its own, as I feel all the emphasis is on my tummy, which is an area I want to play down. If I add a jacket on top, however, I’m OK with the waistline of the skirt — I feel the jacket receives all the attention and nobody can see my tummy.

And yes, I topped the outfit off with a coat on my commute. It’s getting colder by the day here in Oslo and I wouldn’t be surprised if we get snow soon. Where on earth did the summer go?!? I want it to still be light until 9 pm, so I can shoot outfit photos after dinner…
