I bet you thought I’d eloped since it has been so long since my last post, but I’ve just been incredibly busy with all sorts of things. For starters, it took me the better part of a week to get my hands on a new remote control for my camera, as the old one refused to cooperate after five+ years of active duty.
Now I’m all set with a remote that works like a charm and a busy social calendar. One of my best friends visited me last weekend and we managed to squeeze in a visit to the Munch + Vigeland exhibition (as my Instagram followers will know) and Spectre, the latest James Bond film, in between searching for a knitting exhibition which we eventually gave up on and my friend’s haircut. And lots of eating.
Next weekend my boyfriend comes to visit and as expected, I’m counting the days. Relieved that I won’t have to see the Munch exhibiton for the third time, I don’t mind a bit that lots of eating is on the agenda again. He has just been to Barcelona and filled his suitcase with ham, sausages and wine. Lucky me! Now, where’s my trainers?!?
Oops, now I’m so excited about visitors and yummy food that I almost forget to write about today’s outfit! I’m channelling the 1970s in a faux suede skirt from earlier this season, bought — quite literally — on my way to Crete a couple of months back; I made a slight detour past Lindex to buy the skirt on my way to the airport, as I was certain that it would sell out right away, being so affordable and on trend. And indeed it did sell out, but Lindex now has this very similar faux suede skirt that would make an excellent alternative.
To stay warm I paired the skirt with my thickest tights, a black turtleneck and a chunky fringed cardigan. I tried to stick to a limited colour palette of orange, black and grey to keep the outfit in the 1970s — and to match the pretty trees outside. Add rough jewellery and an orange bag, and I’m ready to face the nippy outdoors. See you tomorrow!
