Black & White

Tall Girl's Fashion // Styling black and white

When I don’t know what to wear or am really strapped for time, I’ll always reach for something black and white. I’ve got lots of black to choose from from my days working in Dale of Norway, when black was in fashion and I needed to rest my eyes after working with colours and design all day.

While my current goal is to work more colour into my wardrobe, I always think black and white look both professional and sleek. Nothing beats a LBD, right?

Black and other dark colours are the most slimming for your body, so keep the body part you want to play down (for me, my bottom) dark and wear white (or a light) colour on the part you want to draw attention to. Keeping skirt, tights and shoes all in the same dark colour make you seem taller and leaner. Ha, like I wasn’t tall enough!

Since the top and skirt are quite dressed up, I teamed them with a waterfall cardigan and trainers to keep the look more casual. Golden jewellery completes the look.

And now a little teaser: I spent yesterday making Christmas cards and I’m really excited about showing them to you. They turned out really well and were both easy and fun to make. Be sure to check back on Monday!

Happy weekend, dear!
