Today I’m giving you my two favourite colours in one single outfit — purple and black (I’m taking the liberty to call black a colour). Though one definitely can have too much purple in one’s life, black is always a safe bet. It’s nice to wear a colour with black, though, to make the outfit more eye-catching and happy-looking.
The (wrinkled, sorry!) waistcoat is one of the favourite pieces in my closet (worn with a miniskirt previously) and this time I paired it with my wool purple skirt from COS. While the last couple of weeks have been too cold to wear a skirt, the temperature is on the rise this week, so I’m taking the opportunity to take some wool skirts out for a spin. It sure makes a nice change from bundling up in trousers and triple layers of wool.
The skirt is a nice a-line shape, which is really flattering on anyone with a hint of a bum — it skims your hips and makes said attribute seem slightly smaller, while also making your legs look slimmer.
COS always has a good selection of minimalist skirts in flattering shapes. Their skirts tend to be made out of quality wool blend fabrics which have a bit of weight to them, so they keep their shape really well, while also hiding any lumps and bumps, for instance from a shirt tucked inside the skirt. Like H&M, COS’s clothes are cut quite long, as they are made for Scandianvians, so most items suit us tall women really well. A little bird told me that their winter sale is currently on (50 % or more off)…
