Cruising Grimstad In Purple & Green
Last week, my boyfriend brought me on an “inaugural tour” of southern Norway to introduce me to his parents. The week kicked off on a high note, quite literally, with us stopping over at my friend K’s in Horten and going to an excellent Minor Majority concert in Glassmagasinet.

After a long break spent producing families and kids (their words), the band is now back in business and on tour. The venue was packed with fans belting out the words to all their songs (Supergirl being one of the most famous ones, here with a very retro video. Another gem is Dancing in the backyard). We had so much fun!
On Sunday, my BF and I jumped on the bus to continue my inaugural tour, now heading for the BF’s mum in Kristiansand. I was welcomed with open arms and we had a great few days exploring Kristiansand and the neighbouring town of Grimstad, where his father lives.
These outfit photograps were shot on the boat dock right in front of his father’s house in the idyllic coastal town of Grimstad. The fortunate man lives in one of the flats on the left in the photo above, right on the water. This makes for breakfasting by the sea in the summer sun, your poached eggs being accompanied by hungry seagulls and a great tan. In the winter, however, the water might be touching the steps to your living room, which is very nerve wrecking, to say the least! Just a few weeks ago Grimstad experienced a spring flood and the water almost reached the house — the seaweed in the parking lot is evidence:
PS // As is evident by these photographs, my behind-the-camera boyfriend makes me laugh. A lot.
