Mod Pattern Mix

Tall Girl's Fashion // Mod pattern mix

For a Sunday spent editing photos and drafting posts, I wore this mod-inspired oufit. I don’t wear much green, but with spring just around the corner (or maybe it’s months away and I’m just guilty of wishful thinking) I felt like wearing a fun and spring-y outfit.

Stripes are a pattern that can be mixed with most other prints, as they bring a certain calm and order to the table. My tweed skirt has a geometric cube-like pattern, so mixing the two prints together are basically a full geometry lesson and thus a match made in heaven! While the top picks up the green and navy in the skirt, I chose grey tights to calm the outfit down a bit.

If you are ever in doubt as to which necklace to wear, wear them both, I’ll say. The trends are all about layering your necklaces right now and these chunky ones won’t end up in a tangled mess like the delicate necklaces do.

Happy Monday!

    • Thanks, Michelle! I love it too, but tend to forget to wear it as it’s funny as opposed to pretty, if that makes sense. Thanks for stopping by! xoxo Anett

    • Thanks, Ana Luiza! I love it when I get just the correct mix of patterns and the outfit looks lovely, like this. Thanks for visiting my blog! xoxo Anett

  • I love this outfit! So pretty!! x Allison

    • Thanks! This is one of the most popular outfits I’ve ever posted on the blog and I’m trying to figure out why so I can recreate the success. Is it the colour combo, the sweater, the fact that it’s mod, that it’s a bit dressed up but also perfect for everyday, it’s realistic (cheap, no crazy high heels)? Do you have any suggestions?!? xoxo Anett

  • I just love this outfit! I wish that that sweater weren’t sold out. How cute! I’m pinning this so that I can keep an eye out for it. #MingleMonday

    • Thanks, Regina! Yes, it’s sadly sold out and I can’t find anything similar in the stores I normally go to. Keep looking, though, as it’s too good to pass on! You could alternatively choose a top with orange and brown stripes, which might be easier to find. xoxo Anett
