It has been a while since I shared some outfit inspiration on the blog and I have a very valid
excuse explanation — since my last outfit post I’ve searched for a new job, got hired and am now in the process of buying a new flat here in Oslo with Mr T. I’m so excited about all the great things that are happening in my life right now that I can barely sleep at night — I’m lying in bed furnishing a flat I don’t yet own and going to sushi bars and English pubs in a neighbourhood I don’t yet live!
Friends and family know that my life has not been a bed of roses for the past few years. While some people seem to surf through life, the truth is that most of us will, like me, face difficult periods that shake us to the core. While those periods are a nightmare to get through, the hardship is not a total waste — it also makes us stronger and more appreciative of the good things in our lives. I’ve never been more conscious of how I’m living my life and what I choose to fill it with of people, jobs and hobbies than now. Overall I live a much happier and fuller life than before, and for that I’m ever so grateful. And for the first time in years the universe seems to be on my side and things are working out really well for me. Like really incredibly well.
Talking about the people I choose to spend my life with, Easter was spent with my favourite person, Mr T, pouring over flats for sale in Oslo. After a very schizophrenic discussion where we were all over the place regarding location and layout of the flat, we finally agreed that we are urbanites who can’t live without a balcony and a great kitchen.
And as for my outfit? Inspired by Gucci’s a/w 2015 runway where spectacles and pussbow blouses were all the rage. And those plaid trousers kept me warm, as spring is truly dragging her feet.
